Evosys will be showcasing new generations of machines and live laser welding processes at Fakuma fair 2026

From 12 to 16 October 2026, Evosys Laser GmbH will be presenting innovative solutions for laser plastic welding at Fakuma in Friedrichshafen. In Hall A4, Stand A4-4306, the technology leader will be showcasing new generations of machines, tried-and-tested process modules, and measurement and testing methods for efficient, high-quality plastics processing.

The focus of the exhibition stand will be on live welding demonstrations, which clearly illustrate the capabilities of modern laser welding processes. Visitors will be able to experience both conventional through-beam welding and the advanced Evo2Step process directly on the EVO 0800-TD laser system. This will clearly illustrate how process windows can be expanded, tolerances better controlled and component quality reliably ensured.

We are also presenting our absorption test device, which enables precise analysis of the absorption behaviour along the weld path. This is a key parameter for the new two-stage laser welding process, Evo2Step. It allows different materials or material batches to be compared directly with one another. The graphical display of multiple measurement results provides an immediate comparison of different samples. If the curves differ despite the same welding contour, the causes can be attributed to differences in material. Where values deviate, the welding parameters can be specifically adjusted to ensure that the welding process remains stable and reproducible. In this way, consistently high-quality results are achieved in the laser processing of plastics.

“Our presence at Fakuma 2026 underlines our commitment to acting as a partner for sophisticated laser welding applications in plastics technology,” explains Managing Director Holger Aldebert. “Through a combination of live demonstrations, a new generation of machines and metrological support, we are demonstrating how robust, cost-effective and future-proof manufacturing solutions can be realised.”

A decade full of innovation and growth

Erlangen, May 2025: Evosys Laser GmbH proudly celebrates its

10th anniversary as a leading company in laser plastic welding joining technology. Under the creative artificial word “Evosys”, a combination of “Evolution” and “Systems”, the search for the perfect identity that has characterized the company since its foundation began in 2015. Over the past 10 years, the company has succeeded in expanding its technical expertise, overcoming global crises and writing an impressive success story.

“The most important motivating force behind our success is our employees,” emphasized Frank Brunnecker, Managing Director of Evosys, in his speech at the company’s big celebration last Friday. “Entrepreneurial action, a global outlook and regional roots combined with advanced technology are the cornerstone of this success story and have enabled us to position ourselves successfully in a constantly changing market,” Brunnecker continued. Brunnecker is particularly grateful to the original founder, Andreas Kraus, who had the courage and confidence to collaborate and establish Evosys Laser GmbH. Together with the company Intego GmbH, a specialist in optical inspection for manufacturing, as an investor, which was also convinced by the concept and determination, the company was founded.

An enormous opportunity appeared just 2.5 years after the company was founded, in 2018, when Evosys ventured abroad through a joint venture – a decision that proved to be groundbreaking for the international business. The establishment of the company’s location in China, which Andreas Kraus actively promoted locally for two years, as well as the subsequent opening of another location in the USA, clearly demonstrates the company’s global outlook. In recent years, the company has increased its export share to an impressive 70 percent, while at the same time maintaining and further expanding its location in Erlangen.

Another important milestone was reached with the move to the company’s current location in Felix-Klein-Straße in Erlangen-Bruck. Modern premises with 1,200 square meters of office space and 1,500 square meters of warehouse space provide sufficient room for further expansion. The property was finally acquired in 2023 and now provides Evosys with a secure, central company headquarters and regional roots in the dynamic Nuremberg metropolitan region for the long term.

“Evosys is the result of a successful combination of innovative technology and a motivated, passionate team,” explains Managing Director Holger Aldebert. “We are firmly convinced that our simple recipe for success will continue to be the key to our long-term success.”

While the current market mood is tense, the company remains optimistic and looks to the future with confidence. “With our first-class products and a strong team, we will overcome the challenges and continue our success story,” concludes Brunnecker.

Evosys would like to thank all employees, partners and customers for a successful decade and looks forward to shaping the next chapters of this exciting journey together.
