Evosys Expands Its Presence in North America: Strategic Partnerships for Greater Customer Proximity and Local Points of Contact

Evosys Laser GmbH continues to expand its operations in North America. Through two strategically important partnerships, the company is laying the groundwork for a comprehensive, customer-focused range of services in the field of laser plastic welding – from the East Coast to the West Coast of the United States.

Consolidated Sales Expertise in the Eastern United States

Together with Schaeffler Special Machinery, the Schaeffler Group’s special-purpose machine manufacturer, the American subsidiary Evosys North America Corp. has established a sales partner team for the eastern United States. The focus is on turnkey, highly automated manufacturing solutions for the medical technology sector, in which product quality and regulatory compliance are consistently ensured even as production volumes increase.

The joint team is led by Denis Wittmaier, Managing Director of Evosys North America Corp. With his local market knowledge, technical expertise in laser plastic welding, and direct on-site presence, he supports projects throughout their entire lifecycle:

•    Feasibility studies and process design

•    Design and integration of laser-based joining technologies

•    Commissioning, series production ramp-up, and ongoing process support

MedTech companies benefit from short decision-making paths, high planning reliability, and manufacturing solutions from a single source—ranging from precise laser welding processes for plastics to flexibly configurable process modules and fully automated assembly and testing systems.

At MD&M Anaheim (MD&MWest), it became clear just how important this combined expertise is: scaling up MedTech production must not come at the expense of quality and compliance. In dialogue with R&D, quality assurance, and production teams, the focus was on practical approaches to making production lines safer, smarter, and more efficient.

Strong sales partner team for the Eastern United States – Frank Brunnecker (Managing Director of Evosys Laser GmbH), Andreas Schnaiker (Senior Global Key Account Manager for Medical Devices), Denis Wittmaier (Managing Director of Evosys North America Corp.), and Franziska Putz (Head of Marketing at Schaeffler Special Machinery)

Expanded Presence and Application Expertise on the West Coast

At the same time, Evosys is strengthening its collaboration with its long-standing partner, Dax Research. Both companies have more than 15 years of experience in laser plastic welding and are established as reliable partners for demanding plastic applications.

The partnership with Dax Research is now being systematically expanded and strategically developed. The goal is to offer customers on the U.S. West Coast direct access to sales, service, and application support. Combined with the existing Evosys location in Detroit, this creates a comprehensive consulting and service offering for the North American market.

The collaboration includes, among other things:

•    Sales solutions and technical consulting for laser plastic welding

•    Service offerings and application support in close proximity to customers

•    Close coordination with the Evosys location in Detroit to serve the entire U.S. market

•    Development and implementation of individual, customer-specific welding solutions

Moving forward together into the future of laser material processing: Dax Hamilton, Josh Brown (DAX Research), and Frank Brunnecker and Holger Aldebert (Evosys Laser GmbH) are formalizing their partnership to develop innovative manufacturing solutions.

The advantage: Comprehensive support for the North American market

These two partnerships offer clear added value for North American medtech and industrial companies:

•    Regional proximity: Direct points of contact on the East and West Coasts

•    Scalable solutions: From the first prototype to fully automated series production

•    Process reliability: Qualified laser welding processes for plastics with a focus on quality and compliance

•    Expanded scope of services: Consulting, application support, and services from a single source

In this way, Evosys reinforces its claim as a technology leader in laser plastic welding to not only deliver innovative precision technology but also to provide internationally reliable, customer-oriented manufacturing solutions.
