Successful relocation of central IT infrastructure to certified data centre in Nuremberg.

Erlangen, October 2026: The new data centre location provides the necessary capacity to reliably support digitalisation and planned company growth.

The options to continue and expand IT operations at the company location were no longer sufficient for the increasing requirements.

In the data centre, central servers, company applications and IT services are operated under conditions specifically tailored to the requirements. These include reliable power supply, air conditioning, regulated access and high-performance network connectivity. The location meets recognised quality and security standards.

The existing IT was also reviewed and further developed as part of the move. The migration was carried out in steps from the end of 2025 and could be integrated into the ongoing business operations. Cloud services and the data centre infrastructure continue to complement each other. This creates a flexible foundation for existing applications and new digital solutions.

"Such a relocation is a demanding task, as IT must remain reliably available for business operations throughout. We had to plan each step carefully and align the transition well with the company's processes. That the migration has been successfully completed and our day-to-day business could continue is a strong achievement of the entire team," says managing director Frank Brunnecker of Evosys Laser GmbH.

The data centre relocation is also a further step in Evosys's long-term information security strategy. Currently, information security management at the company location is being systematically prepared for ISO/IEC 27001 certification. The goal is to permanently anchor information security in processes, organisation and technical infrastructure.
