The year 2025 started with the finalization of a great and challenging project. For a customer in the automotive industry, we developed an effective solution to enable the available welding space and the processing of large 3D components using a robotic arm. In cooperation with Stäubli, we integrated a 6-axis robot arm into our welding machine to meet the highest requirements for precision and efficiency.
The powerful combination of the 6-axis robot arm from Stäubli and the EVO 0750 laser module from Evosys Laser enables the welding of complex component geometries and sizes, which are increasingly required in modern automotive production. With the help of the robot arm, the laser module can precisely approach positions in the entire installation space and take varying welding positions and times into account. This ensures dynamic adaptation to different workpiece geometries, which increases the efficiency of the entire production process.
Particularly curved component geometries require a specific adjustment of the working distance to ensure a continuous and precise weld seam. Thanks to our innovative design and the advanced technology of the robot arm used, a variable setup can be mapped by the swiveling and tilting laser module. It also avoids possible shadowing caused by interfering contours. This feature is a decisive advantage that enables us to meet the complex requirements of our customers.
The entire welding process is highly flexible and adaptable. Individual adaptations can be made in each process section, ensuring a customized solution for different projects. The welds are reproducible without any loss of precision. This underlines the reliability and quality of our technical expertise.
By implementing this advanced technology, we are accompanying our customers into a new era of laser welding that offers both efficiency and maximum precision. We are therefore not only setting new standards in laser technology, but also actively contributing to the optimization of our business partners’ production processes.
