CORUS 2D/3D-Inline inspection system from Intego
Intego develops and produces automated inspection and measuring systems for production. For fast and accurate measurements of flat components such as metal plates, fuel cells, ceramic substrates, plastic covers, lenses or seals and much more, Intego has developed a universal laser-based 3D profile scanner. The system is suitable for reliable detection of surface defects such as elevations, cracks, eruptions, protrusions, spikes, bumps, bubbles, particles and inclusions. The system can also be used for quality monitoring of complex surface structures during production.
The basic CORUS system can be individually adapted to customer-specific inspection and measuring requirements. This allows integration into existing production lines as well as additional automation according to customer requirements. Depending on the automation concept, either the measuring head can be guided over the test specimen by means of a linear axis or the test specimen is passed under the sensor at a known speed. The communication interface to the production line is freely selectable e.g. via Profibus, Ethernet/IP, etc. The system uses a class 1 laser, so no additional space-consuming protective housing is necessary.
The standard lateral resolution of the system is 40 µm and can be further increased by a multi-camera arrangement. Depending on the material and surface condition of the test specimen, a height resolution of up to 1 µm can be achieved. For a 150 mm x 150 mm inspection area, the image acquisition time is less than 0.5 seconds per part. In order to increase the quality and efficiency of production, extensive data and statistics are collected via the interface e.g. as SQL database.
