Intego GmbH has been developing high-precision customized camera inspection systems for quality control since it was founded over 25 years ago. Over the years, the portfolio has been continuously expanded – in recent years in particular to include various systems for inspecting optical components made of glass and plastic. Current examples include systems for inspecting medical lenses, glass wafers and microlens arrays.

In addition to the classic detection of defects on surfaces or in bulk (DIN ISO 10110, MIL-PRF-13830B), dimensional and functional tests are also carried out in the systems. Thanks to the customer-specific development of the systems, components with complex geometries can also be inspected. In addition, the use of the latest camera and automation technology allows the systems to be integrated directly into the production line, thereby achieving 100% inspection with high throughput.

Intego’s customers already include many well-known international manufacturers of optical components. In order to make its unique inspection solutions known to an even wider circle of companies, Intego joined the Optica network (https://www.optica.org/) at the beginning of 2025.
Formerly known as OSA, Optica has been successfully networking companies and research groups from the optics industry for many decades and organizes a large number of events. At this year’s meeting of the Optica Global Advanced Manufacturing Alliance in Heidelberg on May 14-15, Intego will be present in the person of Dr. Alexander Kessel to discuss the challenges of testing optical components.
